After about 2 days they just asked me if I tried another motherboard, and then told me to Warranty it if not. I contacted Asus support - they’re pretty unhelpful.

I tried just about everything - underclocking, clean DDU of drivers, different cables, different monitors, updated all bios and drivers across the board. It happened even at idle, but was worse at load (irregularly but about every 20-40 seconds). Right from the start I was noticing irregular and strange screen artefacts and screen flashes, DP disconnecting for a half second. I did it without really thinking about it, so it was installed without me testing the card first.

When I installed the Asus 3090, I also installed the GPU Tweak software that Asus recommended for the OC. So, recent and shouldn’t have had any compatibility issues.

The PC build was a decent i9-9900K, Z390 motherboard. TL DR: Asus GPU Tweak was causing constant screen artefacts, flashing screen, and DP disconnections even at stock with no OC applied, just being installed and open caused the issue** Posting in case this helps anyone who has the experience I had with Asus. This is the exception not the norm and only applies on very small number of cases. At the same time, we can also allow posts and comments that may break one or more rules outlined on this list.
